Amy's Hospital Stay

For all of you who were wondering this is what happened after my surgery...I was doing fine after my surgery and then all of a sudden my arm started hurting and before you know it my whole body cramped up, my eyes shut and my mouth shut and I went into a sever state of tetany...you can look it up. In a matter of seconds I was completely paralyzed, blind and I could not talk. My fingers squeezed so hard, it felt like they were being ripped off my hands. I had two kids, but have never been in that much pain before. My blood pressure was 250 and I drenched the bed with sweat. My chest started tightening and I was so close to cardiac arrest...so finally got calcium through iv and after 40 minutes, the pain started to subside. It was horrible...so they had to monitor my calcium really close and once it stablilized, I got to come home. Now I am just getting my blood drawn every day up here so they can adjust the meds. So that is how I am and hopefully will just get better from here on out! Thanks again to EVERYONE for all your prayers!!

Gracies Tea Party!

Okay, so how cute is this? We had a little tea party for Grace's 3rd birthday. Complete with their beautiful hats they made! They all wore dresses with tights and ate their cute little tea food and even drank tea. Love it! Of course my daughter was playing outside in the dirt after the party...with her dress still on! Happy Birthday my beautiful girl! I cannot believe you are three.

Finally the holidays are over...I love them, I get so excited for Christmas, but they are so hectic. Brandon's Grandpa passed away on Christmas Eve, so we drove to California to visit all the family. My kids did excellent on the trip. i am so lucky to have such wonderful family!

Yes, I am a bad A!!! Look at this cah-ute purse I sewed for my friend Jamie! Its only six months late, but I did it!

Now, look at the tree skirt I sewed for my Moms club. We are donating a tree to the Big Brothers Big Sisters Tree of Festivals and I made this tree skirt...without a pattern!!

I am thankful for Brandon because he always puts a smile on my face even if I am angry!

I am thankful for the way Grant's hair sticks up and the way his face lights when he sees me first thing in the morning.

I am thankful for Gracies sassy attitude and the way she says "Mom, I lub you" out of the blue.

I am thankful for my marriage issues, because I have someone to love me and have issues with.

I am thankful for coffee with French Vanilla creamer.

I am thankful for my mom...the most incredible woman I know.

I am thankful for my fireplace!

I am thankful that my thyroid only had goiters and not cancer.

I am thankful that the damn scorpion episode is over.

I am thankful that my children have grandparents that love them so much (and that we have parents that love us so much).

I am thankful for my friends and the time we get to spend together laughing and crying and talking.

I am thankful that Brandon got to take a break from work because we got to spend so much time together.

I am thankful for oatmeal cookies and my grandmas noodle recipe!

I am thankful for the excersaucer (a toy that keeps Grant busy for a few minutes!)

I am thankful for God for filling my life with so much!

There is no other name to call him...so I totally forgot to add this. Tuesday night me, Grace and Brandon were in the jacuzzi and I had my head leaning on the side...well I felt a pinch in my hairline of my neck. So I scratched it and loosened my pony tail thinking it was pulling my hair...then I felt it again, so I scratched it again. THEN, I felt something crawling down the other side of my neck and I asked Brandon if there was a bug on me...he yelled 'yes, get it off! Everyone out of the jacuzzi!' So I whacked it off and felt the pain again on the other side of my neck...we get out and shut off the bubbles...it was a freakin scorpion!!! So not only did I get stung by a scorpion, but I got stung by a scorpion on the NECK...TWICE!!!!! See, the little bastard! I have to call him that! :) I am doing okay, I have a headache and my neck is pretty sore, the muscles feel really weak. Its a weird feeling.

So every time I do my toes, Grace gets so excited...I decided to be a nice mom and do her toes and let her soak in the foot bath and everything. She was so happy...well she has eczema, so bath crystals and eczema dont mix...poor thing had the worst red, rashed feet and legs and started screaming for about 30 minutes right after this picture was taken...so sad.
